Our people are among the most talented in the industry.
It would be our pleasure to put our extensive experience to work for you.
My bodywork education began in 1980 when I studied privately with Dr. Cynthia Nichols, a Naprapath.
In 1981 I began studying the Ingham Method of Reflexology with Eunice Ingham's nephew, Dwight Byers.
I studied massage therapy at the Chicago School of Massage Therapy in 1982 and graduated January 1983.
Massage As A Ministry opened in September 1982 at it's current location. In this building, I have worked alone, with other massage therapists, chiropractors, and currently share office space with a Naprapth, Dr. Don Pellegrini.
I have also worked at Edgewater Hospital with post-partum patients, and Imperial Towers Health Club.
I have taught massage therapy, reflexolgy, and stretching classes at various locations, my own office, schools,
spas, and retreats. I offer my knowledge wherever I go. I have volunteered my services at Marathons and
Tri-Athalons (working in the medical tent), Senior Homes, Business and Health Expos, and to family and friends.
The work I do is very specific from very light Untie and Crainio-Sacral to very deep Trigger Point and
Cross-fiber Friction, I sometimes include stretches with my treatments and offer suggestions for homework.
Each treatment is geared to your specific needs, therefore I take a client health history, and information inventory.
I have been actively involved with the AMTA, American Massage Therapy Association, as a Board Member,
Committee Chair (Grievance & Entertainment), a Delegate to National Conventions, worked with written and practical testing, and most recently did a member meet-up at Millennium Park.
I am Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, and Licensed by the State of Illinois.
I also worked with getting our state license passed. Continuing education is important to my growth as a therapist.
I am a native of Chicago and enjoy most of what our city has to offer.
